Talk about high concept—the best way to describe this British-German co-production might be "Snakes on a Plane, if the snakes were terrorists and Samuel L Jackson's character was a German vampire lady." Peri Baumeister stars as Nadja, a widow traveling to New York with her son Elias for a medical procedure—until the plane is hijacked and she's shot dead. However, Nadja's barely concealed "medical" affliction is of the undead variety, and soon the already nightmarish journey turns into the flight from hell as she tries to save her son and dispatch the terrorists—ideally before she fully succumbs to vampirism. It sounds ludicrous, and it is, but the end result is one of the wildest and most entertaining—not to mention goriest—vampire films you'll ever see.
